ABOUT
I’m Nikki Talbot, the founder and CEO of Pudding and Pie.
Pudding and Pie was established in 2012 and since then I have taught over 152K children on how to be their healthiest and happiest selves through the joys of food glorious food.
My background was within corporate finance where I was Training manager. I set up Pudding and Pie after I had all 3 of my children born at 25 and 30 weeks. Their nutrition became my number 1 priority after I witnessed the power of good nutrition with their growth and development. This is where my passion for helping others achieve their health goals was born.

I’m an author, teacher, key note speaker and it is my personal mission to help beat obesity in children and to teach them about how to make good food choices.
My ethos is that there is no such thing as “good” or “bad” foods. I teach famillies how to nourish themselves and once they understand the different types of food and how they can effect how they can make you feel they will gain freedom from a bountiful diet!
I teach from pre-school all the way up to sixth form on the role of nutrition in the body. I’m usually in a nursery or school running classes to teach children how to make simple nutritious and yummy food.

My thoughts and ideas have been published in many different ways from magazine articles (including The Good Food Magazine) podcasts, radio and I’ve been a keynote speaker for various different networking groups.
I’m currently expanding my team to reach more and more children and am on a MISSION to spread the joy of cooking!

OUR PUDDING & PIE PILLARS
Fussy Eaters
Get children to eat a balanced and varied diet. One of the biggest challenges parents face is getting children to eat a varied diet that is full of nutrients and vitamins. In a fast paced world with convenience food at our finger tips we understand how hard it is. This is why all of our recipes are simple, cost effective and delicious!
Behaviour
We focus on positive behaviour. This is listening, sharing and recognising teamwork. These are essential skills in life and we like to reward both the individual with Star Baker as well as best team. Stickers and the highly coveted Star Baker postcard comes home to share with parents.
Speech and Language
When children are cooking together they are using questioning, negotiation and collaboration techniques without even realising it. This is when we are inspiring participation from our shyest child whilst encouraging our more confident children to be patient and let others join in.
Parent Partnerships
We help bridge the gap between nursery/school and parents. This is demonstrated by how you can show you are investing in external practitioners like us coming in as well as reinforcing the importance of the learning continuing at home. Our recipes really help promote this with many families enjoying the togetherness of cooking.

Pudding and Pie classes are cross curricular and help bring the fundamentals of Maths, Literacy and Science to life.
